“I’m trying to keep the balance, I’m trying to be normal.”

  • Name: Evangeline “Evan” Infante (OC)
  • Age: 23
  • Occupation: Grocery Bagger
  • Species: Gray Fox
  • Sexuality: Homosexual
  • Faceclaim: Alexandra Daddario

Evangeline had an unusual upbringing, her family consisting of a human and a graced animal coupling. The couple was not her biological parents either. She was discovered in a pasture in Mexico and the family took her in. The couple could not have children, so Evangeline was perfect for them. As a child, she kept to herself, not wanting to go out and play with other kids. She didn’t mind staying at home, helping her mother nor doing chores around the house. She was a relatively obedient child, sometimes prone to tantrums as normal. When she was around 7 years old, they decided to move to Southern California. Her parents were Mexican-Americans, but Evangeline was the only one who was a Mexican citizen. When starting school in the U.S., she made friends. She was not one to decline company or socialization when it came to her, but she was not one to seek it. She did average, academic wise, preferring athletics over anything. It was one thing she did exceedingly well in. She joined her local soccer organization and was a part of her high school’s soccer and swim team. Her high school personality changed in that she was more approachable because of constant socialization with others. She was well-liked by her circle of friends and was not one to cause trouble with anyone. She did gain some bad relationships with people. Her silent nature was often mistaken for her being easily pressured, and so she would be teased sometimes in school for whatever reason. She did receive some strange looks when she was younger about her parents being a different ethnicity from her, but it soon passed. They lived in a multi-cultural city and so it wasn’t entirely strange.

After high school Evangeline signed up for the Marine Corps, much to the dismay of her parents. They wanted her to go to college and they were not supportive with her decision at all. This caused a bit of bad blood among them because Evangeline had used the “you’re not my real parents” card on them before leaving for boot camp. She enjoyed the military atmosphere, but the only problem was that she had difficulty finding time to turn back into her animal form. Because of this, she started to act strangely. Her temper began to shorten and she would often snap at her fellow marines. Eventually, while being deployed for action, she was given a general discharge. They diagnosed her with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Since leaving the Infantes, she had yet to speak with them and so once she was discharged she didn’t go back and instead stayed in Jacksonville, Florida, where she had been based in. She managed to appear in Tala Springs and has been there for over a year. She lives in a Volkswagen Bus and is currently a grocery bagger at the local supermarket. She has been for over five months. However, she has been a waitress at the diner, and a sales rep at the clothing store, however in both she was fired within the first month due to her inability to keep a friendly disposition during moments of stress. From there she went to do favors for people around town, such as mowing the lawn, washing the car, babysitting (babysitting didn’t work out so well). It made her pretty known throughout the town, but it doesn’t mean people are comfortable with her. She’s worked various jobs during her stay in Tala, but the only one she’s maintain for longer than a month is as a grocery bagger. Sometimes she delivers them in the company truck.

Evangeline is generally quiet, sharp and at times aloof. Her experience in the military has caused her to pick up a bitter personality and it would not be unusual to find her yelling at someone for no apparent reason. She won’t be bad tempered straight away, but it does not take much to light her fuse. When she was younger she was relatively dependable, stable, predictable – boring even. However, that has since changed, but it is very likely due to the fact of her mental instability due to her lack of shifting and it is likely that she does Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. If she does suffer from the disorder, she is going un-medicated which is a serious problem. She’s not one to be mean or rude on purpose, especially not with people she’s just met. She often goes off into the wilderness of Tala, which is why some people consider her aloof and distant. She’s trying to regain her mental stability and it is helping her slowly, but surely. She doesn’t like it when her temper gets the best of her and is very embarrassed after the fact. She always starts off her days with a good mood. Usually midday her temper shortens, but there have been days where her emotions haven’t gotten the best of her and she has remained relatively sane. Her job does well to keep her normal. She engrosses herself with the fundamentals of packing groceries, pushing carts and other things they ask her to do. While quiet she is not shy. If given a chance for conversation she will pick it up. She will be one of a few simple words for the most part. However, if a situation creates too much attention or she finds herself in a large group of people, she does become a bit more distanced than usual. So, some see her as hard-hearted or cold, but she isn’t like that at all.

  • Knows Annabelle, Isabelle and Jane because she used to work at the clothing store.
  • Knows all the workers at the diner.
  • Doesn’t really get along with anyone in town because of her changes in mood except with Grace who is the one responsible to keep her under control.
  • Curious about Sophia.
